Priméal’s commitment
Priméal has taken great care in selecting a wide variety of high quality cereals, pulses and oil-seed plants. Their diversity, taste and aromas will help to enliven your meals from day to day. Combining cereals and pulses in one meal will help you produce a fully balanced dish.
Quinoa

An organic Fair Trade line, Priméal Quinoa now comes in several forms. The classics: Royal Quinoa (white), Red Quinoa and the Quinoa Trio. Combinations of cereals, pulses and rice: Quico (quinoa, red lentils, carrots), Quinori (red and white quinoa, brown rice, chick peas).
Camargue rice

This has a PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) which guarantees its provenance and quality according to specific and strengthened criteria. Priméal has developed this range of round- and long-grained rice (brown, semi-brown and white). Rich in magnesium, the round-grained rice develops a typical aroma and is recommended for pilafs or steamed dishes without too much water.
Rices of the world

Priméal has set up Bio-Equitable and Bio-Solidarity rice chains with the objectives of instituting the best provisioning, actively participating in investments alongside producers, ensuring “fair” volumes and purchase prices under contracts, committing sustainably, and guaranteeing total quality control and traceability.
Small spelt from Haute Provence

A local and authentic cereal, Priméal’s small spelt from Haute Provence has both PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) and Bio Solidaire labels. A traditional foodstuff, it has not been selectively bred in the past 10,000 years. It has excellent taste and nutritional qualities. Hurry and discover its fine aroma and tender grains! It is just as good in salads as it is as an accompaniment to a main dish. It also comes in a blanched version (quicker to cook), and in traditional blends such as Mescia (small spelt and pulses).
Flakes and couscous

Indispensable for quick meals!
To make Priméal flakes or couscous, the cereal grain is steamed then dried. This process means it can be prepared instantly by simply rehydrating it with boiling water.
Flakes: Use to thicken soups, stuff vegetables or in muesli for breakfast.
Couscous: Just as it comes or as an accompaniment to meat, fish or pulse dishes.
Lentils

Pleasant on the eye and the palate, Primeal’s lentil trio will inspire you to produce healthy recipes! Along with our green French lentils, discover red and yellow lentils. Yellow lentils come from Turkey and are a beautiful golden-yellow colour. Red lentils are an ancient variety of lentil restored to favour by Priméal, with a melting texture and very fine taste.
Oil-seed plants: Natural sesame seeds

Produced by the organic Fair Trade sesame sector since 2004, Priméal sesame is grown in Mali. Sesame seeds are rich in lecithin and phosphorus, foods particularly beneficial to the nervous system. They can be used in salads, breads and cakes, and also to make tahini and oil.

Organic and socially concerned industries
For many years, Priméal has been committed to developing and reviving local industries: Ardèche sweet chestnuts, small spelt from Haute Provence, Camargue rice and millet from Poitou Charente. Priméal also stands for commitment to community industries since 1989 among the Bolivians in the Altiplano, promoting quinoa through an organic Fair Trade channel.
New
Bulgher, the little spelt of upper Provence, is ready in 10 minutes because the grain has been cooked before crushing. Now it is much easier to introduce this cereal into your daily menus. Bulgher can be eaten hot or cold, unflavored, as pilaf or in salty or even sweetened salads!
